Typical rates in Grand Cayman
Babysitting in Cayman is usually charged by the hour, in Cayman Islands dollars (CI$) or US dollars. At the time of writing (October 2026), some Grand Cayman agencies publish rates of around CI$25 an hour for daytime sitting and CI$30 an hour for evenings. Independent sitters, agencies and hotel services all price differently, so always ask for a quote.
What affects the price
The number of children, their ages, the time of day and the length of the booking all make a difference. Evenings, late finishes, public holidays and last-minute bookings can cost more. Overnight stays and multi-week home sitting are usually quoted as a nightly or weekly rate rather than by the hour.
Travel can also matter. If you are staying somewhere remote, such as a villa in East End or Rum Point, ask whether travel is included.
What should be included
A good babysitter does far more than watch the clock: games, stories, crafts and outdoor play, help with meals, bath and bedtime, and updates by text or WhatsApp while you are out. Ask what is included so you can compare like with like.
How to get a clear quote
Send the date, start and finish time, your area or hotel, and the number and ages of your children. Attentive Angels will confirm availability and a clear total in CI$ or US$ before you book.
